Doors at the Distillery
The previous post here, Monday Window, showed some strong window bars and steel shutters on the “barrel house” of the Woodford Reserve Distillery. So do they have equally strong doors?
You betcha!
But there are more inviting doors there too.
And some interesting doors as well.
The photo above shows the door through which the barrels leave the still house, where the bourbon is distilled, on their way to the barrel house where the aging process keeps them for several years. The dark doorway leads from the barrel house to the bottling building.

Very nice doors! I don’t drink bourbon, but I’ve recently found bourbon barrel beer. I imagine it sits in a barrel similar to the ones in your photor.
… and there might be a faint hint of bourbon taste from reusing bourbon barrels. Such taste of bourbon can be very pleasant even for people who find straight whiskey not to their liking.

Just watched the pre-Belmont race sponsored and named for Woodford Reserve yesterday. And bourbon barrel ed (dark) beer is delicious!!
