Four modest doors

Salzburger House 1755

This old structure, the Salzburger House, in Ebenezer, Georgia was built in 1755 from local pines. Ebenezer was one of Georgia’s first settlements, founded by religious refugees from Salzburg (Austria) during the 1730s. The site is located about 25 miles upstream from Savannah.

This photo shows a much newer house, the “tenant house”, at McDaniel Farm Park in Duluth, Georgia. The front door is flanked by a window. This modest  door doesn’t even have a door knob. On the left you can see the outhouse in the back with its traditional crescent moon cutout.

This is the rear door of the tenant house at McDaniel Farm Park.

Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. The activity is conducted by Norman Frampton.
