River Taxi
In addition to the Streetcar Savannah offers a free River Taxi which runs between River Street and the Convention Center. Actually there are two of them just shuttling back and forth all day. How is that for serving your citizens and visitors?

When Tom suggested this subject by preparing a draft of this post with his photos, I was flustered: I had not taken any pictures of the river taxi. His images are too nice to just pass up, so I searched my photos from our Savannah adventure. Here, on the right, is what I came up with:
Not a stunning photo of the river taxi, you say?
OK, it is a rather tight crop from a rather different subject. I had a series of images taken from the roof patio of one of the hotels on Bay Street. The series was for a planned panorama exercise.
